Michigan Memorial Funeral Home prides itself on creating and implementing customized funeral services at the request of a family.

The beauty of the horse drawn hearse is a marvelous embodiment of bereavement. It lends a certain resignation, yet honor, beauty and elegance to the memory of the one you loved. Michigan Memorial Funeral Home offers horse-drawn carriage services with our beautifully restored, late 1800’s glass enclosed carriage. Drawn by two majestic black Percheron horses this vehicle will transport the deceased with grace and dignity. Our services will be customized based on the needs of the family. All reasonable requests will be honored. If distance between service locations is an issue, we can meet the funeral procession at a staging area for transfer.

Michigan Memorial Funeral Home also offers services for an alternative farewell ride for motorcycle enthusiasts or people looking for a unique way to be sent off on their final journey. It is our firm belief that your loved one’s passion for riding should not have to end with his or her passing. That is why we provide a service by which family and friends alike can send off their loved one in a fashion that is fitting with the lifestyle they’ve lived. We provide a tribute service that will be remembered and cherished for years to come.

We arrive at the service dressed in white tuxedo shirts, string tie, along with black pants, vest and shined cavalry style knee boots with a single spur. We feel the uniform exudes nostalgic style and class while adding a sense of dignity and professionalism as we take the departed on their final journey.

We are different from the typical or traditional trip straight to the final resting place, instead we take the time to go on a favorite road or pass a sentimental place, which makes our service unique. We commemorate the spirit of the open road by creating timeless and lasting memories for you to cherish long after your loved one has taken the final journey.
